Born on October 22, 1971, in Ghana, ACP Kofi Sarpong’s journey into music began at a tender age, nurtured by the rich sounds of gospel music in his local church, the Presbyterian Church of Ghana Brekum. Influenced by legends like the Tagoe Sisters, Nana Yaw Asare, and Yaw Sarpong, Kofi Sarpong’s passion for music grew steadily. His professional music career was serendipitously discovered by his current manager, Ernest Kwesi Ennin, during a visit to his church. This encounter led to a remarkable journey that has seen Kofi Sarpong celebrated internationally for his exceptional vocal prowess and instrumental skills.

Sarpong’s breakthrough came with the release of his debut album, “Sacrifice,” featuring the hit song “Ayeyi Ndwom” with Nacee. This success was followed by the release of “My Savior,” which featured the popular praise anthem “African Borborbor” with Celestine Donkor. Sarpong continued to dominate music charts with subsequent hits like “African Borborbor (2)” featuring Joyce Blessing, establishing himself as a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.

Throughout his career, Sarpong has achieved numerous accolades, including winning Gospel Song of the Year in 2019 and Gospel Artist of the Year in 2012. Currently pursuing law at Wisconsin University, Sarpong’s academic achievements reflect his commitment to excellence in all aspects of his life. He also serves as a Deputy Quarter Master Director at the Ghana Police Headquarters, showcasing his dedication to public service.
